[why some people sell...]

Salim,

<<if the stock drops 52% in 6 weeks that is oddly enough due to insiders knowledge
of the seriousness of their dilemma which should have been conveyed to
us(shareholders)
i am not going to lick my deep wounds and cuts on this one i will do more drastic
measures that will definitely drop the price to a level the insiders KNOW it will go
down to for their buying pleasures>>

I believe some of the insider selling can be attributed to Uncle Sam
and the CAPITAL GAINS made on Amati last year. I know that I am personally
in the same situation and need to sell a little to pay for last
year's success. AT these levels, nobody wants to sell but some people
NEED to.

Why the lack of annoucements? My theory
---------------------------------------
When you look at the lack of INSIDER BUYING and the lack of announcements
can one consider that there may be a suitor on the horizon. Think of it,
an insider cannot buy once they are aware of a possible
takeover and any announcements, partnerships or contracts would all
need to be "considered" during this period. Remember we thought the
Siemens agreement was to be announced shortly after/during
CEBIT. There must be a reason for these delays.

Perhaps I'm being naive but it's an idea... I kept playing in my head:

* "IBM guy told Pat"....Amati stock is a keeper
* Excellent partnerships with TI, Motorola & NEC

Can someone confirm this comment..."an officer can't buy IF there is a
merger/takeover situation?"

Keep the faith, and good luck to all.

Bob
