Windows Millennium Update warning

Symantec has confirmed that some installations of the Windows Millennium update will fail if Norton System Doctor is running. Consequently, we are recommending that you shut down System Doctor prior to downloading and installing any Windows Millennium updates. As a general rule it is always a good idea to shut down applications prior to installing updates or applications.

Unable to start Windows Millennium after running Speed Disk or Microsoft Defrag

Microsoft has determined, and Symantec has confirmed, that some older Network Associates (McAfee) software has a vxd (virtual device driver) that is incompatible with Windows Millennium.
