Keep one thing in mind about T. Their core business (long distance telephone) may soon be obsolete...as internet telephony takes hold. T MUST move into the internet in a big way...and they are. Thus the Media One acquisition is much more essential for T's future than AOL's. Regardless of the results of the battle, AOL is very well positioned. Though they want cable access, they don't need it (at least yet). And they have plenty more tricks up their sleeve.
