Yes. For one GPSI offers granular offerings in all areas that PSQL covers. GPSI offers solutions for a whole lot more industries besides.

BTW - MSFT announced that they will purchase GPSI for 1.1 billion dollars. Microsoft's announcement indicated that they believe that they can grow the business about five times over the next few years.

Dear Great Plains Partner:

Through the years, we have been on an exciting journey together. It has been a journey filled with new discoveries, opportunities, and as always, a journey driven by change. Today, we take a new path; one that allows us to stay true to our mission while accelerating our ability to deliver increased value to our customers.

After careful consideration, deliberation and discussions, we are pleased to announce our planned acquisition by Microsoft Corporation. We have successfully executed against our mission for the last 19 years, and it is that execution that has made this new opportunity possible.

Great Plains will operate as a Microsoft Division led by our current leadership team and me. To ensure the success of our new path, your talent, entrepreneurship, and continued commitment to our customers are critical.

The union between Great Plains and Microsoft creates tremendous business opportunities for our partner channel. This transaction will give Great Plains and our partners increased capability for strategic growth, backed by the incredible financial strength of Microsoft. Our new relationship will also create greater visibility to potential customers through the combined brands of Great Plains and Microsoft; helping to fuel our aggressive growth plans.

The strategic market of business management applications for small and mid-size companies is one of Microsoft’s targeted major growth areas. Great Plains, together with our partners, will be the foundation for this strategy. The combination of Great Plains’ leading business management solutions and Microsoft’s .NET platform uniquely positions us to redefine the landscape for interconnected business applications.

This strategic decision provides an unparalleled opportunity for the entire Great Plains virtual team. We understand that you’ll have questions. We’ll continue to work hard to give you the resources to help navigate this new journey.

Thank you for your commitment to Great Plains. Thank you for your continued commitment to our new and exciting future together.

Sincerely,

Doug Burgum

Chairman and CEO
