I'm not picking on premature infants - I'm trying to explain that if social programs are slashed, there will be some awful results. Clearly people on the left and right agree premature infants are NOT where the budget should be balanced. ..........But just as clear is the fact that premature babies are often the result of poor medical care to women. Soooooo, as warm and fuzzy as it makes some on the right to feel when they want to slash across the board on social programs - often the actual results will be awful.
