90 degrees and I'm wearing a heavy jacket and shivering.
I'm in Guatemala City in the mid-1970's. My wife and I are walking back to the hotel. A long walk. 'Cheap Is Us' was the motto in those days. My legs start hurting. And aching. And aching worse. My wife then notices something isn't right. (I rarely say anything when I'm hurting. Pisses her off that I don't for some reason. What, she likes to listen to whining?) Soon I give up and we take a cab. Very unusual, 'Cheap Is Us', remember?

Then the shivers hit. And like with you, it's at least 90 degrees, but I'm freezing. Get in bed, get blankets from the hotel (who think we're NUTS!), still I'm freezing. I tell my wife to get the thermometer.

106 DEGREES!!!!! HOLY ^&%#!!!!

By now I'm not mobile. Everything hurts too bad and I'm shivering too hard. Except I have to periodically crawl to the bathroom for diarrhea and vomiting.

Have the hotel call their doctor. More expense, but flying the body home will cost too. :-)

We got lucky. This Guatemalan doc had been trained in Germany and was the physician for the German Embassy.

He checks me out, takes some samples, prescribes several drugs, AND 12 bottles of Coke a day.
Seems that Coke has lots of potassium in it and the muscle rigidity and aches were being caused by loss of potassium because I'm going from both ends as fast as I can.

The problem? Cholera.

I haven't been back to Guatemala since.

Headache so bad I don't realize I'm cold.

Dang! I missed that part! :-)
