It's not really possible to "destroy" an ocean fishery

You're overlooking a lot of serious problems, including:

- Degradation of freshwater and intertidal spawning/nursing habitats;

- Global chemical pollution of the open ocean;

- Introduction of exotic species;

- Hatcheries and fish farms that spread disease and adversely affect the gene pools of native fish stocks;

- Fishing and processing activities that destroy habitat, such as fish waste dumping and dynamite reef fishing.
