Companies called "Cook Critical Care" and "Baxter" currently manufacture three types of an intraosseous needles. Though obviously not for shock trauma situations, they do give us an indication of pricing for the units. This also shows that there are experienced manufacturers of a somewhat similar product (less the actual moving mechanism) that perhaps PYNG could use.

The Cook products range from $23.00 to $65.00 US
The Baxter products start at $19.50 US

What would a hospital pay for faster and life saving improvements?!
Much more (i believe)

For more info on the devices and procedures check out www.life-assit.com/cookio.html

regards Jay
