Hi Neocon; As usual, you're picking and choosing your facts, in this case, the polling results. In addition, the poll question you chose was about approval or disapproval over how Bush is handling the situation in Iraq, not over whether or not starting the war was a mistake or not. Some more results from the same link you gave:

"Do you approve or disapprove of the way George W. Bush is handling the situation in Iraq?"
Approve: 45%
Disapprove: 52%

"All in all, do you think the situation in Iraq was worth going to war over, or not?"
Worth it: 44%
Not worth it: 51%

"Do you think George W. Bush has a clear plan for bringing the situation in Iraq to a successful conclusion, or don't you think so?"
Has a clear plan: 36%
Don't think so: 58%
...
"When it comes to the war in Iraq, do you think that removing Saddam Hussein from power was or was not worth the number of U.S. military casualties and the financial cost of the war?"
Worth it: 43%
Not worth it: 49%
...

The polling results are now very close to the 50-50 level. This is not a trend that is in favor of the American public waiting forever for a victory in Iraq.

I'd love to see the corresponding polling results for WW2. Do you think that 45% of the American public disapproved over the way that Roosevelt was handling the war? No, you're taking a 2% difference in polling results on a single poll and whistling past the graveyard with it. The trend is not the friend of the people who want the US to stay in Iraq.

P.S. I see you have littered the thread with a pile of unreadable and repetitive posts (i.e #reply-20546578 #reply-20546589 #reply-20546592 #reply-20546598 #reply-20546604 ). Congratulations, your crap accounted for about 20% of the posting on SI over those 9 or 10 minutes.

Why not combine them into a single post like I did? Is it that you have difficulty planning? Hey, if Bush ran the occupation in Iraq like you post we'd have a real disaster.
