This strong surge to the upside today surprises me. I didn't expect Thurs or Friday's climb either. Thursday night I saw SO much negativity in small investors. All they discussed was Asia, Iraq, and which support level was to be tested next. I think Thurs and Friday's gains were in large part due to instutional investors (my guess) and this gains helped erase negativity for the week.
As for specific issues, I do not feel good about my favorites, MSFT and INTC. DELL and CPQ I like but they are very volatile. I like strength in the blue-chips and techs, but I dislike the volatility. I think the fundamentals are good. I'm just trying to guess investor sentiment right now, but not having good luck lately.

If anyone could recommend some giants (like GE,PG,INTC,MSFT,IBM,KO) that look good right now, please do share your thoughts.
