re: MTHR. I saw the CEO interviewed on CNBC Thursday and was not impressed. He seemed hard-pressed to explain what mothernature.com had going for it other than a catchy domain name. It is a niche market with several other competitors nibbling at pieces of the market that MTHR seeks to dominate. In my neighborhood I've got two natural food co-ops plus a brand new fun-to-visit Whole Foods Market -- all selling every kind of nutritional supplement and vitamin you can imagine. I LIKE going to those stores to put my hands on the food I am going to buy and be among people. While I'm there, if I need vitamins, they are a couple of aisles away. There are limits to the numbers of activities I want to engage in alone in front of a computer screen. I think dot.com mania is stretching the limits of my tolerance. I'm glad to see CMGI pushing harder in the B2B realm. Most of these stand-alone dot.com jobs are doomed.
