I have to disagree on the Linksys WRT54G router, I had one and it has been fantastic (hardware version 2.0 I think, I know it was 200MHz anyways). I sold it to a neighbor last fall when I set it up for her as a wireless bridge (client mode) so she could get wireless internet from another neighbor (with his permission). Having sold the unit, I saw it as an opportunity to upgrade to the higher end model (WRT54GS) which has also not had any issues. Could it be that your router is running an older firmware version? I upgraded both my Linksys WRT54G series routers to DD-WRT firmware (v22 R2 release), which I will say is "da bomb": dd-wrt.com WRT54G Wikipedia page: en.wikipedia.org
