The two numbers are derived from two different effects.

And your math assumes both effects have equal impact on mileage. They don't. So you can't blindly multiply the numbers together.

Come on, the math deficiencies are the least important flaws in your argument. I'd rather you try and justify the claim that fuel economy could be increased 100% by eliminating traffic jams.
