Starbase Expands European Presence; Supports International Customer and Distributor Base

SANTA ANA, Calif., June 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Furthering its commitment to its European-based customers and distributors, Starbase Corporation (Nasdaq: SBAS - News), a leader in enterprise application management solutions designed to speed the software development lifecycle, today announced the opening of a new UK office in Warwick. The new office complements the company's technical support center in Ascot, Berkshire and will create the foundation for further expansion into Europe.

"We have made significant inroads in the European market with customers such as Hutchison 3G and Jaguar Cars Limited," said David Schwickerath, senior vice president of Starbase. "To better support these customers and distributors, we are making an investment to expand our sales and support organization in Europe."

By adding the Warwick office and expanding its sales and support team, Starbase is now able to provide more than 600 EMEA-based customers and 20 distributors with telephone support during normal European business hours. StarTeam and CaliberRM are sold directly through Starbase's UK offices and internationally via a network of distributors. Starbase, in addition to its distributors, delivers customer support, training and implementation services to the end user European organizations.

Industry veterans Mike Bromilow, Norman Nelson and Barry Gilbert will lead the new international office for Starbase. Bromilow, regional sales manager, is responsible for the support and management of distribution partners in Scandinavia, France and Spain as well as responsible for major clients in the UK. He has more than six years experience helping global organizations realize the benefits of requirements management and SCM. Nelson is responsible for distribution partners in Germany, Switzerland, the Benelux, India, the Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific. Nelson brings more than thirty years experience in enterprise software for major corporations to the Starbase organization. Gilbert, regional sales manager, is responsible for the Starbase team supporting major clients in the UK. He brings more than 13 years software configuration management experience to Starbase.

Recent additions to Starbase's international staff include new technical sales consultants, professional services engineers, account managers, customer support representative and a regional sales team.

Simultaneous to the opening of the UK office Starbase is hosting its first annual international distributors conference. The two-day conference is designed to reinforce the Company's international positioning and provide a detailed product marketing strategy to the growing numbers of European distributors. Starbase's senior executive staff will attend the meeting and be available to meet with the analyst and press community.
