will work "like hell" to both contain flash costs and move to better (cheaper) technology, and are open to spinning it off if they can't improve it.

With respect to "spinning it off": that's fiduciary-speak. Of course they're open to offers. If they weren't, they wouldn't be businesspeople and could even be sued.

Hector is a semiconductor guy. If he can't improve it, who else can?
