By offering online trading hasn't ML validated the OLB business model?
Question: Why would anyone with a ML acct. want to pay $29.95 to execute a trade online when they could move the $ they want to manage themselves to AMTD and pay $8?

They could leave the rest of their portfolio at ML (or any other full service broker) in order to keep getting all their research, advice, etc. As they get more comfortable managing their $ they could transfer more to AMTD.

Is there any reason why $ won't continue to shift into the brokers that can offer the lowest cost per trade?

Comments?
Regards,
Lee
