CC, Repsol is really the key factor. "The LOI gives Repsol exclusive negotiating rights to take a 37 percent share in Hyperdynamics' concession for $31.5 million." Why would Repsol walk away from a 37% share for peanuts that would value the concession at a tiny fraction of the market cap of HDY? They saw the 2D and were not impressed. The 3D (now 2 1/2 yrs late)? If Repsol thought that would be promising, they would have waited for it. What does Repsol know that we don't know? My guess is....a hell of a lot. How is a little rinky dink outfit like HDY going to operate a giant offshore project in West Africa? The only place they have ever been an operator is Wall Street.
