When that person appeals for the black vote, it makes sense to point out his/her blackness. Because it says that I'm one of you, I've shared your experience.
On the other hand, the KKK was founded to terrorize black people. That's a different kind of racism, malignant kind.
Where do you get off grouping the two as equivalent?
