What? Chinu, sometimes I wonder if you really read what I post. I have been railing AGAINST Socialism, Communism, and Keynesianism for DECADES. I think Socialism is absolutely ruinous for any country that embarks on it. This is why it is such a joke among the Cuban community and why they have this saying, "Long live Socialism. We are all equal in our poverty." What they are saying, and rightfully so, is that Socialism promises economic equality and it most certainly delivers, but making EVERYONE POORER. This is why Capitalism is superior. It does NOT promise economic equality. It promises equality of opportunity. So if you work hard, educate yourself, and take advantage of that opportunity, you can do well for yourself. Capitalism will always be superior, because it provides incentives to work. Socialism provides active incentives for people NOT to work. In Cuba, doctors are paid $20 per month. Why would you both working your ass off to invent the next miracle cure if no matter what you invented, you would only ever get paid $20 per month? Sure there are idealists out there, but what works is not to be dependent on idealism, but to put your bets on people who are working in their own self-interests to further themselves in a competitive environment. IT is why the US is wealthy. We are the greatest capitalist engine every created and it has made us fabulously wealthy and powerful. Why would we throw that into the toilet with these misguided experiments into Socialism and Keynesianism?
Well, look at the Democrats. They are flat out Socialist now. That's why they may never get might vote again. Even the idiotic Republicans very vocally disavow Socialism. So what does that make Democrats? Dumber than the idiotic Republicans in my book. Socialism destroyed the country of my ancestors and it has destroyed Venezuela recently and it will destroy the US. It's not too late, even now, to turn away from that. |
