Article: "WingspanBank.com reinvents Online Model"

informationweek.com

Long article, but it highlights two trends that I think are in EXDS's favour:

1) A lot of EXDS's customers are aggressive new companies with equally fast growth rates. As they grow, we'll grow.

2) Some larger customers seem to be using two (or sometimes more) web hosters in order to ensure massive and redundant up-time.

Extract from page 3:

"IBM Global Services currently hosts WingspanBank.com's Web site, which runs
on IBM's RS/6000 and Netfinity servers. IBM Global Services provides Web
access on T3 (45-Mbps) lines through multiple connections. In the near future,
Wallace says, Internet-hosting and managed-services provider Exodus
Communications Inc. in Santa Clara, Calif., will provide redundant Internet
access points.

Wallace says IBM and Exodus have unique strengths that will provide
WingspanBank.com with "two perspectives on Web hosting, plus redundancy,
different access points, stability, and reliability." IBM is an elder statesman that
has experience hosting major events like the Olympics that require dealing with
geometric increases in Web volume. As an Internet-era company, Exodus has
less bureaucracy but proven quality, Wallace says."
