AEI.TO makes it to the top five:

CANADA'S HOTTEST JUNIORS
Tuesday, December 13, 2005 Page B13

Viability

Simply put: Is the junior making enough cash to cover its debts? A ratio of debt to cash flow of around 1 - where a year of cash flow could pay off all debt - indicates that things are going well, which is the case for most juniors. And in these boom times, things are more than good for many. Cash flow at names like Chamaelo Exploration Ltd. easily exceeds the net debt on their books.

Top five
Welton 3.9
Peregrine 2.0
West 1.9
Signal Energy 1.9
Arsenal 1.8

Bottom five
Capitol -1.1
Can Southern -1.4
BlackRock -1.5
Zenas -2.0
Chamaelo -2.2

Juniors are all about action on the stock markets as investors are lured by their potential to double, triple or soar even higher. Of course, with great reward comes great risk and hard, long falls are part of the story, too, with those juniors that stumble. Berens Energy Ltd. is one of the stars and only joined the Toronto Stock Exchange in September, graduating from the TSX's junior Venture Exchange.

Top five
Berens 107
Find 99
Rival 95
Titan 83
Diamond Tree 78

Bottom five
Chamaelo -13
Peregrine -15
Kick -15
Tusk -18
Can. Southern -24
