Hi Carl,

I also got the rest of the earnings release dates for the upcoming year:

End of Year ER date - Tuesday, 2/10/98
1st Quarter ER date - Wednesday, 5/6/98
2nd Quarter ER date - Tuesday, 8/4/98
3rd Quarter ER date - Tuesday, 11/3/98

My experience with EXPD indicates that they don't worry too much about what the Street thinks. They take care of business and figure their results will take care of the stock. Predicting what will happen with EXPD's results this quarter is virtually impossible and moving forward even more difficult.

We can guess:
Exports will increase from SEA countries to non SEA
Imports from non SEA countries to SEA countries will decrease
Trade between SEA countries - who knows????

As to the impact on EXPD I really need to crunch the numbers and figure all this out.

Long term I'm comfortable with this company. Management is solid and they've done a good job in growing earnings and margins in the last couple of years in a notoriously thin margin business.

Martin
