Adjusted vs. Unadjusted data. In the ProTA user manual it states that Yahoo! data is adjusted for splits and dividends. I find that there is a material difference in my analysis between the two data sets, adjusted vs unadjusted. The unadjusted data yields a more accurate analysis. (That seems intuitive since a dividend has nothing to do with investor sentiment.)

This finding only applies to those tickers for which the associated stock pays a significant dividend, like T, MO, ... , etc.

ProTA gives us the option of downloading unadjusted data by appending or prepending an "!" to the ticker symbol in the ticker picker. e.g. T! or !T.

I am keeping both sets of data e.g. T, and T! in my ticker picker. So far I have found no problems with having both.

If anyone knows of any problems with having both T and T! in the ticker picker, please let me know.

Thanks
