Bob: Excellent post...basically I tend to agree with most of you on the thread (fwiw)...I think the WON approach (you know, CANSLIM) is extremely helpful in chosing stocks...as for me, the timing of the entry point is based purely on TA..however all the TA, VOODOO, or whatever you want to call it is useless if the stock has no fundamentals...we individuals have it soooo easy since we can run circles around the analysts who are imprisoned by their company or fund which they manage...perfect example..yesterdays downgrading of jdec...absolutely idiotic (I have no position). I mean...duh...what part of fallen stock does this analyst not understand...this type of wall street nonsense represents an opening for we individuals to get in on a great company at a bargain...that type of thing..but timing is everything so you look at the volume and price,ie. a little TA and plan an entry point..you will make a fortune on that stock!!
