Bonefish,
That's a reach tenQ.
You're projecting again. Both you and FJB thought it was relevant right now to remind the world just who warned NATO about buying RuZZian oil.
Seems tmsc is investing $100 billion in the USA.
TSMC already invested $65B under Brandon. There are already three fabs in Arizona, but only one of them is producing chips right now. The second is not slated to enter production until 2028, though Trump might try and find "new ways to motivate" TSMC's workers to pull in the timeline.

Seems like TSMC is planning on two more fabs, which will increase the total amount of investment to $100B. It's likely that those additional fabs were already being planned before Trump took office, but in the usual Trump fashion, he'll take credit for it all.

Just like Trump is taking credit for the following:

Apple will spend more than $500 billion in the U.S. over the next four years (Apple Press Release)

Personally I wonder what's going to happen to Intel, and whether TSMC will end up with a monopoly on semiconductor manufacturing. If that happens, what will Trump do? Nationalize TSMC?
