Sorry but this is a pretty ignorant comment...

After Capellas took over, supply chain operations were divided up among the product groups. Now each group has its own procurement and supply teams. This reflected the fact that there was little in common between the groups (consumer, commercial and enterprise) and that the group GMs needed control over their business including supply chain to reduce costs.

It was obvious as far back as September that the centralized procurement that Straw had built was too cumbersome for the structure CPQ was aiming for, and once all of the functions formerly under Straw had been moved to the product groups, there was not much reason for him to stay on... this has been public knowledge for some time.
