The deadline for Marathon is actually February 29. My summary schedule is off by four days. I'm sure that something will be announced before the deadline. Its hard to imagine not being able to find an appropriate acquisition candidate when you are sitting on $300 million.

It is also possible that Michael Gross tried to leverage the $300 million last summer and had the transaction fall apart last summer because of the credit crunch. Just thinking out loud.
