[MCI / ADSL]

Salim,

I think it's too early to award any MCI ADSL business to any vendor.

The article says that MCI is evaluating the vendors they have trials
with. Last time I checked...MCI was working with Amati. The speeds
they plan to support sound almost "VDSL like" to me. This roll-out
may market cap initially (DMT availability)and Westell is certainly a
big part of the MCI/IOWA trials.

I agree with the author, this is going to light a fire under our
RBOC friends. MCI has built a local loop infrastructure in large
cities to drain the $$ business revenue from the RBOCS.

I rather like the announcement...best news all week for ADSL growth.

Regards,

Bob
