C, keep in mind that it's a lot harder to overclock the Pentium 4 because the multiplier is locked. That means you have to raise the speed of the FSB, which means the chipset, memory, AGP, PCI, and other I/O must also run faster. That's a lot of variables that must be taken into account.

Those overclocking AMD's processors can modify the multiplier thanks to those connectors on the chip package. This makes the processor the only variable in the overclocking picture.
