Tenchu's Thoughts - MAGA's War on Weather Forecasting
Is it a good idea to cut back on weather forecasting? whose dumb idea was that? The Trump administration thinks weather forecasters are nothing but a bunch of "woke" environmentalists trying to push that climate changey thingy.
One of the narratives of the left is that natural disasters are happening at a more rapid rate and with increasing intensity. The data seems to back that up.*
So what does the Trump regime do when faced with the facts? They stop reporting on the facts.
That's all this is. Just a continued purge of scientific experts, because as you know, government-funded science is "woke." All they lead to are a bunch of climate change naggers, EV mandates that are oh-so-fascist, and ultimately the OWG, or One World Government.
It's similar to the way MAGA has purged all of the doctors, scientists, and health researchers that they believe were all part of the pLaNdEmIc. Mask mandates are "woke." Vaccine mandates are lItErAlLy fAsCiSm. Solution? Appoint the MOST anti-vax, anti-science, raw-milk-drinking brain worm to head all of our health agencies.
Same with higher education, which has become a "safe space" for "woke." Appoint the wife of a professional wrestling mogul who doesn't even know how to pronounce AI. Then promise to dismantle all federally-funded education under the theme of "returning education to the states" (even though they are utterly hypocritical when it comes to letting states do their own thing).
All of these moves are meant to satisfy the MAGA cannibals, who want Trump to do everything possible to destroy federal government, destroy publicly-funded science, and replace it with an image of an Orange fat-ass who fancies himself as a FIGHT FIGHT FIGHTer.
This is part of the reason why I gloat over MAGA being on the defensive when it comes to the floods in Texas. They voted for this shit. They have no one to blame but themselves for letting their kids go to camp sites in known flood zones. If they believe the federal government could not have predicted these floods, then it's their own damned fault when "acts of g0d" come their way.
The alternative, of course, is to bring back the NWS, restore funding to weather forecasting, and at least try to stay one step ahead of these natural disasters, which are arguably becoming more frequent.
But again, that would be too "woke," and as we all know, MAGA snowflakes would rather be dead than "woke."
Or at least they'll claim it on social media ...
