NationsBanc Montgomery Securities LLC has also elected to utilize IBS' Electronic Billing Solution, which will enable NMS to offer clients alternatives in how they receive and view their account statements. Using the Electronic Billing Solution, NationsBanc can deliver statements to its clients via their own Web site or through statement consolidators such as MSFDC, CheckFree, Intuit and others.

It's a relief to know CheckFree is there --- or possibly there, in this case --- in the background. They clearly have what everyone needs for e-billing. I'm wondering if CheckFree will become the US Post Office of the billing world? No one would want to drive to ten or twelve different locations to pick up mail and the same is true of the Internet. One-stop bill service.

One day our kids will be telling their kids how grandpa and grandma used to write out all these paper checks, put them in envelopes, lick stamps, and take them to the post office ---- just to pay bills. They'll look up with astonishment and go, "No way!! Get outta here!"
