No. Market makers are not required to fill limit orders on this exchange from what I read on many threads. Kind of pathetic but.. its true. They can skip right over your order even if it is for the minimum bid share #.

I dont see the big problem with placing market orders on this exchange other than 2 times
1) when a huge spread btw bid and ask
2) when a stock is running on news

Even though everyone preaches dont place market orders on this exchange, when I see a stock I want.,. I grab it (go market), even if it means paying an extra 2-4% on the market price vs. jostling with the MM's for 4 hours trying to save .01.

Just my experience though.

P.S. If you had a similar experience on NASDAQ or NYSE you would have a beef.
