To all Boston Chicken lovers; BEWARE! This is a Ponzi scheme-BOST has no earnings from continuing operations and slipping same store sales. Thier accounting methods are questionable and the only cash they generate is from interest on loans made to the franchisees by the parent company. The only way the company can survive is to get more franchisees!!!! Like a chain letter they must continually grow, so that they can continue to LEND MONEY to make income from interest. The store operations are LOSERS as any store manager will tell you. Business Week magazine ran a huge and thorough article on Boston Chicken just 2 weeks ago citing all these creative accounting methods and unique structuring of the company so that they do not have to show same store sales numbers like everyone else. When the word gets around enough and when the expansion slows a bit this house of cards will collapse. And I'm not talking a 10 % correction. I mean a move to 5 dollars!!! Yes, maybe even bankruptcy! This is one of the biggest short position in the market. Top ten I believe. It has been my experience that the majority of short sellers are professional traders who,on balance, always come out ahead. They have done thier due diligence homework an have built a massive short position. Now they are putting the facts out in the light of day for all to see. And wow, when the sun rises BOST will be ALOT LOWER. Take your profits while you still can. I am a chartist by trade and I see the top forming NOW. You still have a few days but when the downside momentum starts it will be a stampede for the door, I promise you this. 25 is an easy move down in the next month, and with any more bad press alot lower than that can be seen in the next couple of quarters. Take heed and be careful with holding BOST.
