But if I were 6'9" and knew this was a problem, next time I went to the hospital I would probably take along my own bathrobe.

Mothers used to tell their kids to always wear clean underwear because you never know when you might get taken to the hospital. Perhaps now they should tell everyone to start carrying a bathrobe just in case. And don't forget your umbrella, too.

A few years ago I noticed that the radiology practice where I get my mammograms started asking everyone who called for an appointment if they weighed more than 250 pounds. Curious soul that I am, I inquired about their purpose. Seems that much of their equipment cannot accommodate large people. Some of the tables won't support the weight. Other equipment has other limitations. Mammograms are not at issue, but I know, for example, that bone density equipment won't accommodate the obese. Perhaps they should carry their own xray equipment with them when they go. Along with their extra large robes.

I don't know how many times I've been in a waiting room where an old person either doesn't sit down or can't get out of the chair once seated because all the chairs are too soft and they sink in. Are all the people who furnish waiting rooms just oblivious?

A few years ago at my office, someone complained about the Christmas tree so the brass said to take it down. Every year the staff complains about not being allowed a tree. The employee who complained was a Jew. Perhaps we should revive our collective hatred of Jews.
