Hi El Matador,
I read that 50% of buyers of new cars in Brazil are buying the kind that can switch to burning pure alcohol from burning pure gasoline. I wonder about the other 50%. I wonder why they don't want to burn alcohol.
1. Is the switchable car more expensive?
2. Are they emotionally tied to a brand of car which cannot switch to alcohol, as desired?
3. Is it sometimes difficult to buy alcohol on the road?
I figure if alcohol is not overwhelmingly popular in Brazil where it is the world's cheapest, then maybe it doesn't have such a bright future elsewhere, that is until oil goes to 80-100 a barrel, which will be a long while.
