You can't jail people for speculating that something may have been wrong and played anyway. However, nobody could process that many fake accounts. No madoff and his wife without the help of many others. I am sure they will be found out as time goes by. They can go the way of all the investment bankers, mortgage brokers, car executives, car dealers, loan officers, realtors, developers, flippers, etc. etc. who knew the bubble was a bubble and played anyway expecting to come out ahead of the game. They all deserve to spend the next several years in orange jumpsuits picking up trash by the side of the road.
