There are certainly political overtones to this, but the only reason we are there in the first place was Saddam Hussein...and we were asked in.

GST makes it sound like we are doing something wrong, and the truth is just the opposite. The American controversy is stirred up by religious zealots who justifiably fear loss of influence when faced with American values of individual freedom and the persuit of happiness.

To that I say, "Excuuuuuuse me!"
