The rightwing fears intelligent celebrities and tries to mock and silence them. Although Hollywood has always had its share of conservatives, many of whom the GOP grabs to run for office, most intelligent, educated, concerned celebrities are either liberals or moderates. They range from very credible and very devoted and hard-working to a little flakey but they are powerful, rich and can get their voices heard, just like the big corporate lobbyists Bushies have on their side. The difference is, the liberal celebs don't ask for anything in return. Bushie corporate lobbyists ask for a lot in return.

Michael Moore is a fantastic filmmaker with balls of steel. He is literally risking his life taking on the special interests he does. The only reason he is now rich and powerful is because 95% of the time he is amazingly accurate and sees things most people don't see, so his movies are worth the price of admission. I have vetted Moore's claims and find them to always be true or at least partly true. To his credit, Moore also fact-checks himself using some of the best in the business. He stands by his claims.

This thread was started to try and silence truth-tellers, pure and simple. This is what the rightwing must do to continue winning elections, that and voter fraud, starting wars and fear and smear campaigns. DOn't buy it, people. The rightwing is the real threat to the good old USA now.
