I am not aware of any special treatment GE gets. The way I understand it, it uses the same loopholes available to all multinationals. Closing the loopholes while at the same time lowering the corporate tax rate is the way to go. One thing we must remember is that GE has a huge financial arm that lost a lot of money in the crash. Now it gets to deduct those loses.
