Karl, do you know if they amortize their accrued R&D expenses or just directly expense them as they occur? My problem here is that if the project was being delayed, but, developed by internal staff, there is no "unanticipated costs"(these people are on the payroll). If they are using outside developers and the project was taking longer then there could be unanticipated costs. Also, if they were amortizing their development, it might also have some implications in what they were saying.
