No, I don't disagree... as long as it fits in with what we observe... like the materials I've commented on... then I think it makes perfect sense... Now Brummar's comment seems to imply living things are automatons preprogrammed, so to speak... that sounds very "out there" to me, since we can observe them, including humans do all sorts of things that seem to contradict such a mechanistic view.

What DOESNT make sense, IMHO, is "randomness"... kinda a dopey mental contract which basically means "lack of pattern"... which would be useless to a living thing.
