Ted RE..Gore sounded as if he would manage the planet. Bush didn't. Bush said the United States should intervene when our "interests" were at stake — not our "values" — and that our attitude to foreign cultures should be "humble." He said, "I just don't think it's the role of the United States to walk into a country and say, 'We do it this way, so should you.' "

And just who is he talking to here, OBL, Iraq or the US. It was OBL who came here and killed 3000 people because he thought we all ought to be Muslim, it is Saddam who is living in 50 acres palaces; and paying terrorist to blow up children in Israel, while the Iraqi children are starving. Yes, as in Bosnia, sometimes to drop a few bombs is the moral thing to do. Whether we do it for the moral reasons or strategic interests, sometimes it has to be. And for him to say we did AFghanistan because of the women, get real, we did it primarily because they declared and waged war upon us first, and we retaliated; the women part was just gravy.
