The death toll is higher than any fatalities from the seasonal flu going back to 1967

Lots of reports (rumors) that the CDC stats on seasonal flu are extremely inflated for many years.
Even the scarf girl, Dr. Britz, says she does not believe any CDC statistics.

Therefore, to compare seasonal flu to COVID19 doesn't mean much.

Of course the CDC COVID19 stats are inflated as well.

Net net I believe it is more of a political issue than a health issue.
Keep in mind that a large majority of the deaths are >70 with multiple
co-morbidities.

2020 just happens to be an election year.
