I agree with you that while Eric's efforts are generally appreciated, he's in danger of being considered a hack for the stock by losing all his objectivity.

what? I couldn't disagree more. Eric is half the reason I threw in my fee to join SI. He does solid research, actually participates in the quaterly conference calls, and backs up his findings with solid facts investigation. You can disagree with his findings, but he's certainly not a hack.
