The investigator in me just won't go back to sleep.

Preliminary plan A: Write down all CMOS data, see if Systemworks has a CMOS backup (backitup if so), then slip the durn thing out and see what happens.

LOL, I can always do a fresh start with a copy of the CMOS. A google search renders references to mobo recharging of the CMOS battery and that leads me to think the recharging voltage will maintain while the battery is changed ~ so long as machine power is uninterrupted.

Maybe (probably) find out this weekend when I've more time. Will report back.
