CIBC World Markets Photonics Quarterly Preview [Jan. 16, 2001]: ... 1/30/01 New Focus (NUFO - OTC $35, Buy) Likely the strongest quarter from any component vendor. Expected revenues of $26.9 million, up 21% sequentially, could be nicely surpassed. Both PBCs and circulators are seeing increased customer acceptance. Gross margin of 28%, up 24.4% sequentially and up 27.3% year over year. EPS of ($0.03), down 50% sequentially and up 67% year over year. We think analysts might actually believe possible upward guidance.
