Pogeu Mahone, unfortunate the writer is highly uninformed, and choose the easy path.

The only point I would agree with that only solar and wind is posing problem, but not so related to the rest of it.

Did the writer calculate how much is the cost of every mile of an express highway? and how that compares to the economic benefits for the region the express highway is serving - NO

... and that is his "Achilles heel" in his grandstanding analysis.

The conversion to very low GHG is built on 5 pillars which between others includes command and control centers and energetic savings compared to the present. One weak point is lighting which can be easily resolved, second point HVAC efficiency and building total energy consumption.

Batteries are not the utility storage medium of choice and there fore wipe out this section from his calculations.

He failed for example to mention heath pumps for HVAC from underground water sources as an example.it works 24/7

Wind and solar are only 2 items out of 5, storage of energy must not be in batteries that is may great for mopeds as soon BEV will be taken over by FCEV.

Already in Germany they concluded practically that 1kg of H2 equals to 4.5 litter of diesel in a locomotive.(do not remember the link you can search it)

Further he ignores the point that fusion may succeed and then wat ? We may have tooooo much energy available. ... and I can go on and on.
