"Next month VRR drilling at northway? " your getting old " :)))) "
We're all getting old, but I keep my mind active with the study of the ancient language of Promoterese. I heartily recommend it, my friend.
"VR Resources Ltd. has strengthened its corporate framework as drilling gets under way at its Northway kimberlite breccia pipe"
Ahh, what a wonderful compound sentence employing both the present perfect tense (has strengthened) with the simple present (gets under way). The combination allows considerable leeway in interpretation, masking the actual start date of the drilling.
As VR Resources said just 44 hours earlier -- well after the market close on Tuesday -- "The successful Close of the Financing allows the Company to commence its spring drill program in northern Ontario. The camp was re-opened last week and is ready for the start-up of drilling planned for next week on the kimberlite breccia pipe at Northway, followed by drilling at the nearby Hecla-Kilmer REE critical metal project. Drilling is expected to take approximately one month to complete."
At the end of the day, defining the start of drilling can be ambiguous. Was it last week, with the camp opening? Is it this week, with further preparations? Is it next week, as the company said on Tuesday?
I'll go with the company's own words, when spoken with clarity, not under the fog of tense doublespeak.
Or, put in my mother tongue of Grumpish: If a company on Tuesday is unaware that drilling promised for next week is in fact getting under way within a few daylight working hours, then I would question whether I would want any of my investment cash headed that way.
Cheers,
