Dman, you certainly are right that XSNI has more experience than anyone else in the "free" ISP business model. Problem is they do not appear to have any proprietary product that would make it difficult for others to "copy" what they do. So, what is the result? A market now stuffed with competitors. Unfortunately being first doesn't guarantee success.
Quite frankly I am impressed that although they are now only a little over a year old they have gone from zero to at least 350,000 subscribers in that time. If you choose to believe Manning they have been profitable along the way. They competed with the big boys then and brought them to their knees. Heck, look at what AOL had to do; go free with Netscape. Now, who do you think that really hurts? It hurts AOL fee based service a lot more than it hurts the other free ISPs.
Give me a company with a proven track record of competing in a very, very hot market and I will take my chances......Especially at $2 or $3 bucks a share. Jeff
