Those who are making the accusation believe the Bushies are conspiring to take over the Iraqi oilfields lock, stock and barrel, and not act as a middleman. There will be no more Iraqis involved and it is expected that the US will pocket all the money it makes selling the oil in the global markets.
Coming from a group that so prides itself on its intellect, I find it curious that the Right seems to misunderstand these arguments with the intent to make them look even less reasonable than they already are. The left has to remain ever vigilant to catch all of these tired manipulations.

You accuse us of misunderstanding the arguments, however, when I ask you how it would be possible that the Bushies would be able to take over the oilfields, given that it is illegal, you claim ignorance.
